Executive summary
Biashara Trading Company Limited is a Kampala‑based lender providing short‑term bridge financing to eligible individuals and enterprises across Uganda. Incorporated in 2014, the company helps clients close temporary cash‑flow gaps without unnecessary delay. Every facility is assessed responsibly, with charges disclosed and accepted before commitment.
Speed is only valuable when it is paired with discipline. Every facility Biashara approves is one it believes the client can comfortably repay.

What we do
Short‑term bridge financing for eligible individuals and enterprises, helping clients close temporary cash‑flow gaps within a maximum six‑month term. Each file is assessed carefully and charges are disclosed before commitment.
Where we work
Urban, semi‑urban and rural Uganda, served from a single Kampala office so that decisions stay close to the people who make them.
Every facility is assessed. Approved amount, tenure, security and repayment arrangements depend on credit assessment and approval. An application does not guarantee a facility.

02 · About Biashara
Biashara Trading Company Limited was incorporated in 2014 to provide accessible, short‑term bridge financing for the growing Ugandan market.
The company started as an SME focused on faster access to credit in a convenient, client‑friendly environment. Its ambition is to develop from a money‑lending business into a microfinance institution and, over time, a broader financial‑services provider.
That ambition has not changed how it works day to day. Speed is combined with transparent communication, disciplined assessment and personal service — the same file standards applied to every client, whoever they are.
The ambition, in order
- Money‑lending business — officially incorporated in 2014
- Microfinance institution — the stated vision
- Financial‑services provider — broader, over time
| 01 · A practical start | An SME built to give faster access to credit in a client‑friendly environment. |
|---|---|
| 02 · A growth ambition | To become a microfinance institution serving a fast‑growing mass market. |
| 03 · A client‑led approach | Speed combined with transparency, discipline and personal service. |

09 · Financing in action
Short‑term credit is only useful if it lands somewhere productive. These are the two places it most often does.
| Vehicles & land | Asset financing can support approved vehicle or land purchases, helping clients acquire productive assets through a clearly assessed short‑term facility. |
|---|---|
| Stock & cash flow | Business loans keep shelves stocked and suppliers paid while receivables catch up — what shuts down most small enterprises is timing, not demand. |
Part Two · What we offer · p. 17
10 · Who we serve
Eligible clients across urban, semi‑urban and rural Uganda. All facilities remain subject to assessment and approval.
| 01 · Entrepreneurs | Micro and small business owners with viable productive needs. |
|---|---|
| 02 · Salaried clients | Eligible employees with a sound ability to meet approved repayment requirements. |
| 03 · Companies & NGOs | Organisations seeking approved short‑term financial solutions. |
| 04 · Growing businesses | Sole proprietors and companies financing stock, cash flow or productive assets. |
Eligibility is assessed on repayment capacity, purpose and security where required — not on the category a client falls into.
